Science to the SouthThe Centro Ciência Viva de Lagos (CCVL) presents its activities for the Ciência Viva Program in Summer 2015 this Thursday, the 15th of July.

The chosen location is Praça Gil Eanes, emblematic site of the statue of Dom Sebastião, where the CCVL will set up the Ciência Ao Sul tent, from 10:00 am, the same tent that will be present on 18 beaches in the Algarve and the Alentejo coast.

In the Science Tent, to the south of the Lagos Living Science Centre, you can find sand volcanoes, build kites, launch parachutes, make ice cream without a fridge, discover the secrets of the footprints or simply enjoy the benefits of the sun.

CCVL's activities for this summer also include visits to caves, walks through the biological and geological heritage of Sagres, bird watching in the Ria de Alvor or visiting the dinosaur footprints of Praia da Salema and Praia Santa.

The Centro Ciência Viva de Lagos will develop 39 activities this summer, independently or in partnership, namely the Municipality of Portimão, the Municipality of Vila do Bispo, the Associação A Rocha or the Underground Study Center of Lagos.
