On the 1st of August, Portimão Arena receives a concert by Mariza, one of the references of Fado. The show is scheduled for 22:00, and the doors open an hour before. Tickets cost between 25 and 40 euros.
The Câmara de Portimão highlights Mariza's trajectory saying that «in less than thirteen years, Mariza went from an almost hidden local phenomenon, shared only by a small circle of Lisbon admirers, to one of the most applauded stars on the world music circuit» .
The singer has already been decorated by the coat of arms by the former President of the Republic, Jorge Sampaio, with the degree of Commander of the Order of Infante D. Henrique and by the French Government with the degree of Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters.
In Portimão, Mariza will promote her latest album, her first “Best of”, which has the greatest hits of her career: “Cavaleiro Monge”, “Meu fado meu”, “Ó gente da minha terra”, “ Rain” or “Time doesn't stop”.
Tickets are on sale at Portimão Arena – Parque de Feiras e Exposições de Portimão (Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 13:00 pm and from 14:00 pm to 17:00 pm), and in the usual places such as FNAC and Worten stores, Agencies of Viagens Abreu, or on Blueticket.pt.
