poster 1During the summer months, the Albufeira Historical Archive hosts the photography exhibition “Albufeira, Vila Branca in Mar Azul”, which disseminates old images of the then fishing village. The exhibition has been open since this Wednesday and will remain on display until the 30th of September.

The set of old photographs are accompanied by the words of Ramiro Guedes de Campos, who, in 1945, won the Poetry Contest on Algarve Beaches.

According to the Municipality of Albufeira, this exhibition «intends to recall not only the images of old Albufeira, but also the poetry of an Albufeiresse about his land, from the beginning of the 60th century until the mid-XNUMXs».

In addition to the photographs, the exhibition displays a document from the historical collection, which «dealts with the landscape and charms of Vila de Albufeira».

The exhibition will run from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm and from 13:30 pm to 17:00 pm, closing on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. Albufeira's Historical Archive is located at Rua Bailote, 9, in the old town.
