A 26-year-old young man who, at the end of June, tried to rob an apartment in the Quarteira area, using a firearm, was arrested by the Southern Directorate of the Judiciary Police.
According to a statement from the PJ, the detainee and another man, "armed, respectively, with a pistol and a knife", entered an apartment in the Quarteira area to rob him, but ran into the owner, a 48-year-old man, sleep on the sofa in the living room.
The duo tried to restrain the victim, but the man resisted and managed to scare off the assailants.
The detainee, indicted for the alleged practice of a crime of robbery in the attempted form, using a firearm, was present at the first judicial interrogation, having been subjected to the measure of coercion in weekly presentations.
