japan partyThe municipality of Vila do Bispo will participate in the 5th edition of the Festa do Japa, in Lisbon, on June 20, between 16 pm and 22 pm, at Jardim do Japan, in Belém, next to the Museum of Popular Art and Padrão dos Discoveries.

The event, which is intended to disseminate Japanese culture and deepen ties with Portugal, will bring together public and private entities, gastronomy, sporting and cultural activities in a large party that will take place in an outdoor space.

Vila do Bispo's participation follows an application submitted and approved by the Embassy of Japan, under the existing twinning agreement with the city of Nishinoomote, since 1993.

Thus, the municipality will be represented in tent No. 2, accompanied by the municipality of Sintra and the researcher Inês Carvalho Matos (specialist in Intangible Cultural Heritage). Here, Vila do Bispo will invest in the dissemination of its tourist potential, thus making itself known to all visitors to that area.

It is the 5th edition of this party in Lisbon and it is the first time that the Algarve municipality is represented at this event.

As part of the Festas da Cidade de Lisboa program, this initiative promoted by the Japanese embassy in Portugal and which has the support of the City of Lisbon, has free entry.
