The Judiciary Police announced today the seizure of 850 kg of hashish aboard a semi-rigid speedboat intercepted in the Vilamoura area, and detained three men as part of the same operation.
In addition to the 850 kilos of hashish, the PJ apprehended «two all-terrain vehicles, a heavy vehicle, a light vehicle, around 2300 euros in cash and various communication materials».
The action was carried out by the Criminal Investigation Department of Portimão, with the collaboration of the GNR Coastal Control Unit, «in the context of a complex investigation that had been going on for several months».
The three men arrested, aged between 20 and 42, will now be present at the first judicial interrogation for the application of coercive measures.
