Logo_CRESC_cmykA seminar on the theme “The IPSS and European Funds”, co-organized by the Regional Coordination and Regional Development Commission of the Algarve and the National Confederation of Solidarity Institutions (CNIS), is scheduled for 3 July, at 9:00 am, at the CCDR headquarters Algarve, in Faro.

This initiative takes place within the scope of the CRESC Algarve 2020 regional roadmap and aims to disseminate and present the European Funds for 2014-2020, support and Economic and Social Cohesion in our region, namely directed to the IPSS, private institutions, not managed by the State or by an autarchic body, non-profit and which aim at solidarity and justice among individuals.

“The contracting with social institutions will be important for the region, since these community funds can be used for social intervention and inclusion, in the fight against unemployment and poverty”, stresses the CCDR.

The opening of the session will be attended by the president of the CCDR do Algarve, David Santos, the director of the CD of Faro the Social Security Institute, Ofélia Ramos, and a representative of the CNIS.

The first panel of the session will be about the ISE Domains - Social Integration and Employment and Sustainability, presented by the technical secretaries of CRESC Algarve 2020, Maria José Vaz and Filomena Coelho.

In the second part, the Cooperation with the Social and Solidarity Sector will be the topic addressed by Ofélia Ramos from the Social Security Institute.

Finally, the themed panel Support for Employment and Professional Training will be presented by the regional director of the Institute of Employment and Professional Training, Carlos Baía.

The CRESC ALGARVE 2020 regional roadmap will continue with the aim of publicizing the set of European Community Funds available for the period 2014-2020 and mobilizing demand.
