According to the guard, "the military carried out inspections on several beaches in the southwest of the Algarve, namely in the areas included in the Natural Park of Sudoeste Alentejano e Costa Vicentina (PNSACV), which lasted throughout the entire morning period."

The 22 administrative offenses “for the practice of camping and caravanning outside the places intended for such” will be sent to the Institute for the Conservation of Nature and Forests.

The security force adds that "any form of overnight stay is prohibited in the PNSACV area, a park with particular characteristics that urgently needs to be preserved and valued, with caravan and camping activities that contribute to the transformation of the space, highlighting the disposal of garbage. as a factor of environmental degradation».

The action was carried out by the Environmental Protection Nucleus of the Territorial Detachment of the National Republican Guard of Portimão.
