Seizure SB AlportelThe GNR seized this Monday and Tuesday several weapons in two different operations, one carried out in Moncarapacho and the other in the municipalities of Faro and São Brás de Alportel.

The first seizure was made after a house search following the arrest of two men for robbery earlier this month in Moncarapacho. Now, soldiers from the Criminal Investigation Nucleus of the GNR's Territorial Detachment of Faro, searched the house of a third man, 27 years old, also involved in the process, residing in the same parish in the municipality of Olhão.

According to the GNR, the search was carried out yesterday morning, and "several weapons were seized, including a 12-caliber shotgun, an extendable stick, two daggers, a ram and eleven 12-caliber cartridges."

This Tuesday, two house searches were carried out after a 34-year-old man filed a complaint against his own father, due to threats. The searches were carried out in two homes of the 66-year-old man, in the localities of Corotelo – São Brás de Alportel and Bordeira – Santa Bárbara de Nexe.

Inside the second house, the GNR seized "a shotgun, an alarm pistol transformed into a 6.35mm caliber, two sabers and a bladed weapon."

The owner of the weapons was constituted as a defendant, provided an identity and residency term, and is awaiting the proceedings.
