Two men who robbed a house on the Gião site, in Moncarapacho, Olhão, were detained by the GNR a few moments after committing the crime. The police managed to recover the property that had been stolen moments before.
According to the GNR, the military from the Territorial Post of Olhão were alerted to the crime around 3:20 am on Tuesday and went to the scene. Upon arriving there, they discovered the perpetrators of the robbery a few meters from the house, trying to flee on foot.
The men, aged 20 and 30, were caught and with them were discovered "935 euros in cash and several packs of tobacco", which were seized.
The detainees, both residents in Moncarapacho and the oldest with a criminal record for the crime of drug trafficking, are being presented to the Department of Investigation and Criminal Action of Olhão to apply the enforcement measures deemed appropriate.
