The duo Carlos Martins and Daniel Amaral won this weekend the Vila de Monchique Rally. In the Skoda Fabia S2000, the Serpa driver surpassed João Barros (Ford Fiesta R5), who took second place, and Márcio Marreiros (Mitsubishi Evo VI), who finished the race in third place.
The Vila de Monchique Rally, an asphalt race, started on Saturday, with a Super Special in Vila de Monchique and continued on Sunday with six more specials. Carlos Martins did not have a good start in the Super Especial, finishing only in 12th place in the classification, damaged by the rain, but he recovered on the second day and ended the rally with a 1,02 minute advantage over the second placed.
