The municipal swimming pools in Silves turn 12 on June 1st and the City Council will celebrate the date with a special program aimed at the municipality's population, which lasts until the end of June.
Hidrosenior, happy abs, hydrogymnastics, workout, pump, mind & body, cycling and hidro'n fire are the sporting proposals that open the celebrations on June 1st, through an Open Day of Fitness. On this day, at 17:45 pm, the Municipality of Silves also invites the entire population to join the party and blow out the 12 candles on the birthday cake.
The Open Day lasts until June 2nd with proposals such as hidrodeep, hidrobike, hypopressive abdominal gymnastics, stretching, pilates, high intensity training and core training.
The celebrations continue on June 3rd with the 1st Indoor Aquathlo of the Municipal Swimming School, between 18:30 pm and 20:30 pm, an activity that has the support of the Portuguese Triathlon Federation and the “Os Armacenenses” Swimming Club .
With the exception of classes with limited places, the activities mentioned are open to the population. The Municipal Swimming School will also be presented with the “Bring a friend” campaign, where each student can invite a friend to participate in their class on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 6th of June.
The celebrations extend until the end of June with the fourth edition of the Gym Challenge, an activity that consists of a competition with strength and endurance tests aimed at users.
