Typical delicacies, lots of entertainment and a privileged view over the Ria Formosa are some of the ingredients with which the Group 554 of the National Scout Body (CNE), from Olhão, will host the party, in another edition of its Arraial Escutista, which will take place on the 6th and 7th of June, at Jardim Pescador Olhanense.
Xarém, clams, oysters, sardines or broth, among many other delicacies that can be found in the taverns that will be installed, will enliven the palate of those who visit the Arraial. The musical entertainment will be guaranteed by several local groups, which, in addition to showing their art, will help the cause.
This party, which is already a tradition in Olhão, aims to raise funds for the Group 554 of Escutas de Olhão, which will be used to boost the activity of this group, which includes dozens of children and young people, to whom it seeks to «pass on values ethical and moral”, as well as various practical teachings, in a work of “strong Christian inspiration”.
The genesis of the 554 of Olhão is, moreover, closely linked to the church. «The bugs, in Olhão, were born on October 8, 1978, their main driving force behind the now deceased Canon Falé. Currently, the head of the 554 Group is José Glória», illustrated the Chamber of Olhão, in a press release.
The Arraial Escutista de Olhão, which is now in its eighth edition, has free admission and is dedicated to the whole family. So, just show up, and the scouts will have everything ready to receive visitors. On Saturday the 6th, the doors open at 18 pm. On Sunday, the party is launched at 16 pm. The closing, on both days, is at midnight.
