The culinary demonstration will be conducted under the guidance of Aníbal Neto (agronomist and breeder) and Isabel Fernandes (higher cultural heritage technician at Tavira City Council).

In November 2014, a tour was organized and the participants had the opportunity to learn about some practices of cattle raising and herding, as well as the Algarvian churra sheep, an autochthonous breed.

The Municipal Museum of Tavira is now promoting a cooking demonstration, where it will be possible to learn how to make an Algarvian churra sheep stew.

Registration for the action is mandatory, is intended for a minimum number of 20 participants, has a cost of 3 euros and is intended for the general public.

Those interested should fill in the registration form and send it to the Educational Service of the Municipal Museum of Tavira, via email [email protected] or deliver it to the reception of the Municipal Museum of Tavira – Palácio da Galeria (open on Tuesday to Saturday, from 10:00 am to 16:30 pm).
