The invitation is once again addressed to journalists and tour operators in the region to discover another Algarve, less touristy and less explored. This time, the initiative «Rediscovering the Secrets of the Algarve» will take visitors to Aljezur, on a full-day tour scheduled for Monday, 4 May.
After having passed through Alcoutim, São Brás de Alportel, Monchique, Lagos e Lagoa, the project «Rediscover the Secrets of the Algarve» now arrives in Aljezur to, according to the Algarve Tourism Region, which organizes, «challenge those who make known the destination to experience the natural, cultural, gastronomic and traditions of the region with the senses very alert».
The program will come as a surprise, however, in the certainty that, in Aljezur, in the heart of the Natural Park of Southwest Alentejo and Costa Vicentina, one cannot do without the beauty of the beaches, one of them elected as «7 Wonders, Beaches of Portugal». and to whet your appetite, perhaps try one of Aljezur's gastronomic treasures, the sweet potato for which the county is so well known.
«This will be the sixth edition of the event and, judging by the previous ones, we have very positive expectations, as the region has been widely publicized, with an emphasis on the lesser known aspects of the general public», assures Desidério Silva, president of the Region of Turismo do Algarve (RTA), promoter of the initiative.
A fam trip «Rediscovering the Secrets of the Algarve – Aljezur» is the result of partnerships between RTA, the Municipality of Aljezur and the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve.
