A visit to the historic center of Olhão is the proposal of the Municipal Museum of the city for Saturday, April 18, as part of the International Day of Monuments and Sites.
The tour, which will be accompanied by a technician from the Museum, is scheduled for 10:00 am on Saturday, and will start at the Municipal Museum of Olhão, then going through «several streets, alleys, alleys, alleys and places full of history, where the typicality and mystique gain more charm and always allow for a new look», stresses the local authority in a press release.
The International Day of Monuments and Sites was proposed in 1982 by the International Council of Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS), being approved in 1983 by UNESCO and commemorated since then. This year the theme is “Knowing, Exploring, Sharing”.
This initiative of the Municipal Museum of Olhão is free, but registration with the Museum or by e-mail to [email protected] is required, and is limited to 22 entries.
