Man kills boss by shotgun in Alcoutim

crime-pixA 50-year-old man, housekeeper on a farm in Monte Farelos, Horta das Cebolas, in Alcoutim, shot and killed his boss this Wednesday, around 10:30 am, using a shotgun. The man was detained by the GNR when he was already at his home, in Pereiro, and offered no resistance.

The news was advanced by the online edition of Correio da Manhã and confirmed to Sul Informação by source of the Territorial Command of Faro of the GNR. According to the spokesman for this police force, the victim would also be around 50 years old.

The motivation for this crime is not yet known, nor are other details of the murder, such as the number of shots that were fired and whether the victim died immediately. This information will be investigated in the investigation that will follow, which will be handled by the Southern Directorate of the Judiciary Police.

"Several patrols" of the GNR, from the Alcoutim, Vila Real de Santo António and Tavira detachments of this police force, as well as the Alcoutim firefighters, came to the site.
