The Cheese and Wine Fair of Faro returns to Jardim Manuel Bívar, in the Algarve capital's downtown, starting today, Thursday, and will «promote and publicize the best in the wine and cheese sector, as well as in the regional production of sweets, honey, liquors and sausages”, until Sunday.
The event will bring together more than 20 exhibitors and will also have a 400 square meter tavern tent. The initiative has free entry and provides for cheese, sausage and wine tastings.
«This event will bring the Faro a sector still unknown by many, allowing its visitors to deepen their knowledge in a sector that is strategic for the economy of our country and that needs to be valued and promoted, reinforcing territorial cohesion and the importance of endogenous products in the Portuguese economy and identity. », illustrated the Farense municipal company Ambifaro, which organizes the event.
Today and tomorrow, Friday, the event opens at 17 pm. On the weekend, it starts at 15 pm. The closing is at 23 pm, today and Sunday, and at midnight, on Friday and Saturday.
