IMG_2382 _The team from the Centro Ciência Viva do Algarve (CCVAlg), located in Faro, was present in front of the Center, this Monday, at 12:00 pm, to pay homage for five minutes to Professor Mariano Gago, former Minister of Science and creator of the CCV, falecido last Friday.

CCVAlg was the first Ciência Viva Center in the country, inaugurated precisely by Mariano Gago, then Minister of Science and Technology, on August 3, 1997.

«The team at the Centro Ciência Viva do Algarve wanted to mark this moment in order to thank all the contribution made by Prof. Mariano Gago for the existence of this Center and is committed to giving continuity to your legacy», stresses the CCVAlg in a press release.

All over the country, Universities, Centers, Institutes and Research Laboratories, as well as Live Science Centers, paid symbolic homage to former minister José Mariano Gago, keeping five minutes of silence, at noon this Monday.
