SANtonio_Sticker_40x60mmUnder the motto of Os Santos Lendários, theme of the Promenade Concerts 2015, the Orquestra Clássica do Sul (OCS) presents in March the legend of Santo António, a Franciscan friar who needs no introduction.

The sessions alluding to this theme will take place on March 15, at 12:00 pm, at Teatro das Figuras, in Faro, and, on the same day, but at 16:30 pm, in the Municipal Auditorium of Lagoa. The third presentation will take place on March 22, at 17 pm, at Arena d'Évora.

All Promenade Concerts are directed by the principal conductor Rui Pinheiro and presented by Susana Paixão.

In this story, children and adults will be able to discover the route of Santo António and its life lessons, with many emotions in the mix. This, like the other narrations that make up this cycle, are set to music especially for this purpose by John Avery, assistant conductor at OCS.

The program includes, as always, a variety of musical pieces that complete this pleasant Sunday experience with the family.

The Promenade Concerts are produced by the Orquestra Clássica do Sul and, in co-production in Faro, with Teatro das Figuras, supported by the Municipal Councils of Lagoa and Évora and sponsored by Caixa Geral de Depósitos.
