Festival at the Algarve Hotel and Tourism School proposes “film tasting”

The International Flavors & Cinema Festival starts tomorrow at the Algarve Hotel and Tourism School, ending on Friday. The event, which brings together students from hotel schools across the country and also from abroad, suggests the «rediscovery of your favorite film through flavors and aromas».

Like? Through the creativity of several dozen students from hotel and tourism schools. «For each of the teams in competition, inspiration starts with a film. The tasting consists of a menu for 2 people and a buffet for 10 guests. The evaluation, carried out by a prestigious jury, analyzes the culinary preparation, decoration and service», explains the organizers of the event.

Flavors & Cinema «aims to promote exchange between national and international hospitality schools, creating a space for sharing experiences and knowledge, in order to encourage the creativity and innovation of future hotel and tourism professionals.

The festival is organized by students from the Algarve Hotel and Tourism School, involving around a hundred students from the various courses. In addition to the cooking, decoration and service tastings, Flavors & Cinema has a program of activities that include hospitality, integration and entertainment.

This is the 12th edition of the International Flavors & Cinema Festival, an event that was «the first, at national level, to obtain recognition from the European Association of Hotel Schools».
