The exhibition of 22 lamps produced by students of the Communication Design course at Instituto Superior Manuel Teixeira Gomes opens this Saturday, at 19 pm, at the Museu de Portimão.
The exhibition, which is part of the activities of the Young March, «will shed new light on the old illustrations of the canning industry», the main focus of this museum.
Before that, at 17:30 pm, the Group of Friends of the Portimão Museum promotes a guided cultural tour “Discovering the other side of the Museum”, to show that the activities of this structure are not limited to exhibitions, permanent or temporary.
Thus, say the Friends, «we will visit the reserves, the archives, the restoration workshop and discover some of its collections, including the Foral de Vila Nova de Portimão, the Manuel Teixeira Gomes collection, old transports and the nostalgic van, among many others from the cultural heritage of Portimão, brought by archeology, ethnography and donated by the community».
