OystersA tasting of the company's oysters OysterSelect Algarve, based in Odiáxere, and a wine tasting at the farm Mount of Casteleja, scheduled for the 28th of February, under the motto «Lagos and the Sea», is the highlight of the participation of the Municipality of Lagos in the Lisbon Tourism Exchange (BTL), which runs from the 25th of February and the 01st of March, at FIL, at Parque das Nações.

This tourist promotion action will be carried out in conjunction with the municipalities of Aljezur and Vila do Bispo, within the scope of the Association of Municipalities “Terras do Infante”.

The Municipality of Lagos will, once again, be represented in this event, in the “Espaço Algarve”, which associates, in the same pavilion, the Algarve Tourism Region and all the Algarve's municipalities.

Monte_Casteleja1This promotional action once again counts on the participation and collaboration of local tourist agents, as well as the municipalities of “Terras do Infante”, in an initiative aimed at enhancing the municipality's capacity to attract as a tourist destination.

After 26 editions, this Fair continues to be the biggest event for national tourism promotion and a place of choice for entities and professionals linked to the tourist area, functioning as the great barometer of the market. It should be noted that in 2014 BTL registered 68.250 visitors, which meant an increase of 5% compared to the 2013 edition.

The Lisbon Tourism Exchange, which enters its 27th edition, is organized by the AIP Foundation, through AIP – Fairs, Congresses and Events, and is aimed at professionals in the sector and the public in general.
