A man and a woman in their 30s, with gunshots to the head but conscious, were found this morning by a police officer in Praia da Falésia, near Vilamoura, and transported to the hospital in Faro.
According to a source from the National Institute of Medical Emergency (INEM), the alert was given at 10:30 am, by a member of the Maritime Police who was passing by on the sand.
Despite being conscious when they were found, the man and woman are now hospitalized in a very critical condition.
Everything indicates that it could be a case of attempted murder, followed by a failed suicide. The man allegedly shot the woman and then tried to commit suicide.
Two vehicles of the victims were found near the crime scene, which will have arrived at Praia da Falésia each in their own car.
