A 26-year-old man was arrested by the Southern Directorate of the Judiciary Police for the alleged commission of a crime of attempted murder, which occurred in Olhão, the PJ announced today.
The crime took place at the end of the day on Tuesday, January 6, when the suspect, armed with a shotgun and after an argument, shot a 36-year-old man.
«The shot hit the victim in the abdominal area, not causing his death due to the prompt intervention of the relief resources, which transported him to the Hospital Center of Faro», says the PJ.
The suspect's detention counted with the collaboration of the PSP of Olhão and the Voluntary Firefighters of Vila Real de Santo António.
The detainee will now be present at the first judicial interrogation for the application of coercive measures.
