portimao hospitalSerigraphs, engravings and paintings by mostly Portuguese artists make up the collection of works donated by the Millenium bcp Foundation to the Centro Hospitalar do Algarve and which, from today, December 11th, will be on display at the Portimão hospital unit in an exhibition open to the public.

The opening of the exhibition takes place at 15:00 this Thursday, in the entrance hall of that hospital, with the presence of Fernando Nogueira, president of the Millennium bcp Foundation, who will be received by elements of the Board of Directors of CHAlgarve.

The donated paintings are by several well-known artists, including Guilherme Parente, Espiga Pinto, Ilda Reis and Justino.

The 40 donated works will then be distributed by the services of the hospital units that make up CHAlgarve (Faro, Portimão and Lagos), contributing, according to that body, «to the humanization of care and support spaces for the clinic».

The worthy offer is part of the social responsibility of Millennium bcp, which has already graced the Ministry of Health, the São Francisco Xavier Hospital and the Lisbon IPO, in the same way, followed by the Centro Hospitalar do Algarve.
