Expo Children's Voices Poverty_CaritasStarting on Friday, the Municipal Library of Tavira will host the exhibition “Children's Voices in Poverty”, an initiative of Cáritas Europa “which presents eleven photographs, with real testimonies of children, which aim to draw attention to the challenges which affect families on a daily basis and to the scandal of child poverty».

An exhibition was on display at the European Parliament in Brussels and included a message from Caritas to European lawmakers: “Fighting child poverty must be a priority for the European Union and its Member States. Children are growing up, they cannot wait until the crisis is over».

According to data from Cáritas, 25 million European children live at risk of poverty or social exclusion, so they launch the appeal: "Help us take the voice of these children far!"

The exhibition is brought to Tavira by the Municipality and by Cáritas Diocesana do Algarve.
