Portinado swimmingPortinado was ranked 6th overall at the Meeting Internacional do Algarve, a competition that took place last weekend at the Vila Real de Santo António swimming pool complex and was won by the Sporting team.

At the individual level, three swimmers from the Portimonense club won medals: Alexandre Agostinho won the gold in the 50 meters freestyle and the bronze in the 100 freestyles, Miguel Nascimento got silver in the 100 backstroke event and Jessica Brito won the bronze medal in the 50 meters free, with a new all-time club record.

Among the other swimmers in Portinado, Maria Pereira was 9th class. in the 50 freestyles, 10th to the 100th freestyle and 9th to the 200th styles. Hugo Amaral was 12th at 50 breaststroke and 14th at 100 breaststroke. António Rita was 12th at 50 moth and 50 back.

The Algarve International Meeting was attended by nearly two hundred swimmers, representing 30 clubs.

Louletano's team was the second best ranked team in the Algarve, being in ninth place in the overall classification, while Tavira Natação was in 12th place, Armacenenses was 22nd, Olhão Swimming Club was 23rd, and Clube de Natação de Faro 27th, the Naval Club Gym Faro 28th, Lagoa 29th and Colégio Bernardette Romeira, which participated in the meeting with only one athlete, was in last position.
