The balance of the 2014 Defense of Forest Against Fires operation in the Algarve region will be presented next Monday, at a public ceremony that will take place in the auditorium of the Algarve's Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDR).
In this session, the National Civil Protection Authority (ANPC), through its District Relief Operations Command (CDOS) of Faro, will not only advance the data related to the fires that occurred in the region this year, but also take stock of the candidacy for re-equipment of fire brigades, made by the 16 municipalities of the Algarve, under AMAL.
The ceremony will feature interventions by representatives of the various entities involved in the forest defense operation, namely the ANPC, the Institute for the Conservation of Nature and Forests (ICNF) and the GNR.
