The Parish Council of Portimão has developed a mobile application that aims to promote trade and, at the same time, make known the best places in the parish. With this application, users have a wide range of information about points of interest they can visit.
The application is available for the Android platform and, according to a press release from the Parish Council, «for those who like to know the best places to visit, the In Parish of Portimão allows you to obtain detailed information about churches, beaches, restaurants, traditional and local stores or handicrafts».
For the Parish Council, this app is «uunique for its innovation, interactivity and interest, both for the resident population and for the tourists who visit us».
Contact with public entities or services is also facilitated by the application. When doing download da In Parish of Portimão, users gain access to information about nearest ATMs and pharmacies, transport, security, public services and weather.
With regard to traders, tour operators and service providers, they can fill in the registration form found on the website www.jf-portimao.pt/infreguesiaportimao and thus be part of this project, seeing their businesses published in the Commerce tab of the application.
