Filipe's departure for Mexico is already on the 6th and his debut in the competition is scheduled for the 9th of November.

Filipe Santos is the current European 200 meters Mariposa record holder and will swim five races in this championship. On November 10th, the 50m Mariposa will swim, on the 11th the 100m Styles, on the 12th the 200m Mariposa, and on the 13th the 50m Freestyle and 100m Mariposa.

After having participated in three world championships, having obtained the 4th place as the best position, the O2-Portimão swimmer will now try to reach the podium, and he will bet for this goal in the 50m and 200m moth races, which are your best specialties.

«Even though there may be some difficulties in adapting to the altitude, as the test will take place in the city of Morelia, at 2000 meters, with no training at altitude and there are few days of adaptation between the arrival and the start of the tests, we will keep our goal of reaching the podium», underlines Paulo Sousa, coach of Filipe Santos.
