The Ermida de São Roque, in Tavira, will be the target of conservation works. The Municipality of Tavira has already awarded the work to the company Martins Gago & Filhos, Lda., which will cost an estimated 225 euros.
According to a press release from the municipality of Tavir, "the intervention in the hermitage is related to the need to act in situations that pose greater risk to the overall state of the property in order to avoid the loss of property."
«The works focus on the roof, walls and openings in order to compensate for the watertight conditions and stop the degradation process that was taking place. It is also intended the structural and exterior recovery of the building», adds the same document.
The work has an estimated completion period of 360 days.
