University-of-Algarve2Specialists Felicity Armstrong, from the Institute of Education at the University of London and David Rodrigues, President of Pro-Inclusion – National Association of Special Education Teachers, are the honored guests of the debate «Inclusion in Schools», which will be promoted on Wednesday, at 14:30 pm, in the Grande Auditorium of the University of Algarve, on the institution's Gambelas Campus.

The Francisco Manuel dos Santos Foundation promotes this initiative, which intends to deepen the reflection on this theme, at a time when inclusive education is very present in pedagogical and political discourses, «although in schools there are obstacles to its practice».

Felicity Armstrong, an English researcher, will share her country's experiences and look at what can be learned from them. The Portuguese specialist David Rodrigues will reflect on how to teach, so that everyone can learn, and what is being done in Portugal in this area, questioning whether it will be enough.

The debate will be moderated by Manuel Célio Conceição, University of Algarve.
