This is a show by Associação Recreativa e Cultural dos Músicos, from Faro.

The fifth monument in the Algarve to host activities within the scope of the European Heritage Days is the Castle of Aljezur. Here the proposal is from Tertúlia, called «How far the sight can reach» and proposes routes with sounds from the everyday landscapes, between 13:00 and 18:00.

It is a project based on sound: a cartography of inhabited soundscapes. The participant is invited to take predetermined routes, in the Castle and in the historic area of the village, accompanied by everyday sounds and the voice of some of the inhabitants of the municipality of Aljezur, who listen through earphones (upon request for equipment in the Castle), discovering several narratives that allow glimpses of ways of inhabiting this landscape, the one that can be seen from the Castle, as well as the one that can be guessed beyond where the view reaches. An intriguing proposition to say the least.

All these activities are integrated. at DiVaM, the program for the Promotion and Valorization of Monuments, promoted by the Regional Directorate of Culture.
