Teresa FernandesFor the third consecutive year, Odemirense athlete Teresa Fernandes won the title of National Olympic Cross Country Champion XCO and, for the second year, the title of National Champion in Deep Cycling, being also National Champion of Marathons XCM and National Champion of Counter- Watch, in the category of veterans.

With all these titles, Teresa Fernandes is currently one of the best athletes in the national cycling panorama, being a unique achievement to obtain four national titles in a single season.

National Olympic Cross Country Championship (XCO)
On the 13th of July, in Porto d'Ave, municipality of Póvoa de Lanhoso, the National XCO Championship was disputed, on a track of about 4,5 km.
Teresa Fernandes completed the four laps in 1h13m, winning the title of national female master champion for the third consecutive year.

National Marathon Championship (XCM)
On the 6th of July, in Viana do Castelo, the National Marathon Championship took place, where the women had to cover a distance of 84km with around 3000 meters of accumulated.
The athlete finished in 1st place in the female master category, with 4h41m and in 4th place in the female overall.

Women's National Cycling Championship
On June 29, in Anadia, the National Cycling Championship for Women's Bottom took place, where the women's masters had to complete three laps of a 19km course, where they came in 1st place with a time of 1h46min53sec.

Women's National Time Trial Championship
On June 27, in Anadia, the Women's National Time Trial Championship took place, with a demanding test in a 14,9km course, where she spent only 0h23m41s, reaching 1st place in the female master category.

Born in Odemira, Teresa Fernandes is 35 years old and has a degree in Physical Education from the University of Algarve. He competes for the Atlantic Service/Clube Xelb, from Silves, but he also energizes the Duraizos team, the Mountain Bike Section of the Associação Cultural Recreativa e Desportiva da Longueira, where he lives.
