Intercultural ConactionThe youth mobility project “Intercultural Conaction” is putting young people from Portugal and Poland in contact, using Art and Non-Formal Education as a way to promote social inclusion. The project started this Saturday in the Polish city of Poznan and will end on July 24, in Olhão.

The MOJU – Youth Movement Association in Olhão initiative, promoted in partnership with the Polish organization CIM Horyzonty, involves 28 young people with fewer opportunities from both countries.

“The group will meet in Poznan, where the theme of combating social exclusion and marginalization through the arts and NFE will be introduced. Participants will travel together to Olhão, where they will deepen the theme. During the program participants will experience various positive awareness activities and contact with other cultures, supporting intercultural education between the countries involved”, describes the MOJU.

The «Intercultural Conaction» aims to «raise awareness of everyone's responsibility to fight poverty and marginalization, as well as promote the inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities, using art and non-formal education (ENF) as methodologies among the young participants from Portugal and Poland».

As a result, it is intended to «promote awareness on issues such as human rights and youth, active participation of young people in society, and social inclusion through the promotion of the arts and non-formal education as motivational tools for young people in combat to marginalization and poverty”.

The project is funded by the Youth in Action Program (Portuguese National Agency) of the European Commission.
