Drug seizure and counterfeit bills AlbufeiraA man was arrested this morning, in Albufeira, after trying to pay with a counterfeit 50 euros bill in a nightlife establishment in the city. In addition to 25 counterfeit bills of the same value, drugs were found in the hotel room where the man was staying, earning the 24-year-old man a drug trafficking charge.

The arrest took place at 1 hour, in one of the main arteries of this city, one of the most popular tourist destinations in the region. A GNR patrol was called to a bar, because a customer had tried to pay the bill with a counterfeit bill and ended up catching him near the commercial establishment.

"After a personal security inspection, it was found that in his possession (in the pocket of his shorts) there was a counterfeit 50 euro bill", described the Territorial Command of Faro of the GNR.

The military ended up accompanying the man to the hotel where he was staying, in an attempt to identify him, and, in a search of his suitcase, found '284 individual doses of cocaine, in addition to twenty-five (25) 50-euro bills. false'.
