Organic farming will be the focus of the «Festa Bio», which Lagos will host on the 12th and 13th of July. A market for organic agricultural products, lectures and a sardine with biological accompaniment are the highlights of this event, which will take place in different areas of Lagos.
Agrobio's initiative aims to "disseminate environmentally friendly agriculture throughout the country in opposition to both conventional and transgenic agriculture." “The main objective is to sensitize the general public to the meaning of the word organic (in terms of agriculture) and show how it can make a difference in food”, according to the association of producers.
In addition to the promotion of agricultural products, taking place at Praça Luís de Camões, the program also includes lectures on the themes "Family Biological Farming" and "Biological Farming in the Algarve" (Noble Hall of the Câmara de Lagos) and sardines, which will take place at Quinta das 6 Marias.
