Humorist Bruno Nogueira and singer Manuela Azevedo will explore the potential of Portuguese pimba music, with new arrangements, in a show that takes place this Monday, June 9, at 21 pm, at Teatro Municipal de Portimão.

In “Deixem o pimba em paz”, Bruno Nogueira and Manuela Azevedo will interpret songs from the repertoire of Portuguese music, more brejeira and popular, with new musical arrangements. On stage are also musicians Filipe Melo, Nélson Cascais and Nuno Rafael.

The comedian will sing, alongside the singer of Clã, more than a dozen songs that cover “a little bit of everything about pimba music” and which, despite being transformed with new arrangements, will be recognized by the public.

“This labeling music thing bothers me. Pimba is a unifying song, more popular, it's played at parties and balls, but it's not all corny; it also covers stories that could happen to anyone”, says the comedian, who stresses that “most people who criticize pimba music are the first to go dancing”.

Tickets cost 15 euros and can be purchased this Monday at the TEMPO ticket office, which is exceptionally open between 13:30 pm and 21:30 pm.
