The Firefighters Volunteers of Portimão have just launched, on their Facebook page, an appeal for the “generosity of the population”, asking for food, juices, fruits and water, to be distributed to the workers fighting the fire in the parish of Mexilhoeira Grande.
Food, water and other beverages must be left at the Fire Brigade in Portimão, who will then be in charge of delivering them to the operators in the field.
No one should approach the fire zone, in order not to interfere with the firefighters' work, nor to put themselves in danger.
