Quorum Ballet, a company that is an unavoidable reference in Portuguese contemporary dance, is back at the Great Auditorium of the Municipal Theater of Portimão (Tempo) to present two plays, one for the general public (“Nous – Inner Perception”) and the other for schools and families – “Alice in Wonderland”.

Choreographed by Daniel Cardoso, “Nous – Inner Perception” will be presented tomorrow, the 16th, at 21 pm, with ticket prices varying between 30 euros for the counter and 10 euros for the audience.

“Alice in Wonderland” is choreographed by Inês Godinho, has already been presented this morning to schools, with free admission, and on Saturday, the 17th, at 16 pm, it returns to the stage with a performance for families, with tickets at 00 euros for children up to 5 years old and 12 euros for the rest of the public.

Based on the work of Lewis Carroll, Quorum Ballet presents “Alice in Wonderland”.
In the words of the creator, “(…) Alice transports us to a fantastic world, where reality is just a fantasy loaded with (in)values. Through the hand of mysterious and charismatic characters, Alice follows a path of adventures full of color and magic, revealing a logic of the exaggerated absurdity of dreams, where Time is synonymous with Eternity. A piece aimed at everyone, from the smallest to the oldest, with many adventures to unravel!”.
Using a concept that is already common in its pieces aimed at children, Quorum Ballet created this interactive choreographic work, in which the younger ones will have the opportunity to actively participate.

“Nous” is a Greek philosophical term meaning activity of the intellect or reason in opposition to the material senses. As synonymous with intelligence or thought, it is used to describe a form of perception that operates within the mind rather than through the senses.
We are increasingly dazzled by our reflection, by our appearance and by what it means to others. We walk and live at breakneck speed, less and less connected, less and less absorbed...
