The PS was the party with the most votes in the municipality of Albufeira, the Algarve municipality where abstention was highest, standing at 76,62 percent. Only 23,38 percent of registered voters turned out to be at the polls, most of whom chose to vote Socialists, although the alliance that brought together PSD and CDS-PP was not far behind. In numbers, the PS got 28,41 percent of the vote, while the "Aliança Portugal" got 24,26 percent of the vote.

In a municipality that has historically been a social-democratic stronghold, the CDU also stood out positively. The Communists and the Greens got 11,69 percent of the vote, 3,5 percentage points more than in 2009. The MPT, the surprise of these European Elections, came in fourth, with 8,33 percent. In the last Europeans, this party had obtained a 0,97 percent vote in this county.

The Left Bloc ended up in fifth place, with 5,64 percent of the vote, a loss of close to 9 percentage points compared to 2009. Still, in this chapter, the PSD and the CDS-PP are the ones who have declined the most, from the more than 39 percent (together) achieved in the previous Europeans, to the current 24,2 percent.
