This Sunday, the Lusitano from Vila Real de Santo António was crowned champion of the Algarve Football District, with four games to go. The team led by Ivo Soares beat Monchiquense by 0-4, confirming the title, for which Moncarapachense was the main opponent.

In the title match, despite being playing against the last ranked, Lusitano only scored in the second half, bringing to a head the many fans from Vila Real who went up the mountain to see their club stamp the return to the national football championships. Cris Baiano, Julio
