The assailant who worked in the Almancil, Quarteira and Vilamoura area, stealing "easily salable objects", especially televisions, appliances and also non-precious metal items, such as taps and copper objects, was caught yesterday morning by the Criminal Investigation Center of the Territorial Detachment of the GNR of Loulé.

This is a 43-year-old Portuguese man whose house in Quarteira was the target of a house search warrant, cited as the author of about 15 crimes against property (theft), the GNR revealed in a statement.

The detainee, with a criminal record also for the crime of theft, was present today at the Judicial Court of the District of Loulé, having been applied the most severe coercion measure, preventive detention, for which he was already delivered to the Regional Prison of Olhão.
