Castro Marim City Council advanced with the implementation of a free Wi-Fi network in Castro Marim and Altura.
Three access points are available, two in Altura – in the leisure area of Avenida 24 de Junho and Clube Recreativo Alturense – and another in the village of Castro Marim – in the Territory Interpretation Centre, in Revelim de Santo António.
For Castro Marim City Council, this investment «democratizes accessibility to new technologies and also offers the possibility of subtracting this expense from the economic burden of citizens».
«As access to the Internet is one of the main requirements of those who visit us, this is also an investment with a return», says the vice-president of the Chamber Filomena Sintra.
