The Analysis Theater of the House of Culture of Loulé takes to the stage of the Cine-Teatro Louletano, next Saturday, March 29, at 21 pm, the play “O Amante”, by Harold Pinter, integrated in the Scenarios – IX Loulé Theater Exhibition.
As in almost all texts by the British Nobel laureate Harold Pinter, the beginning of the play “The Lover” transports the spectator to an allegedly prosaic situation. In the morning, in an elegant house in the suburbs, a couple says goodbye. Smiling, the woman wishes her husband a good day at work. First, however, she tells him that she will spend the afternoon with her lover.
The tone is courteous, friendly, casual. As if they were talking about the weather. As if Pinter's drama was nothing more than a comedy of manners.
