The 130 new foreign students who chose the University of Algarve to spend a season of their university journey will have a Welcome Session, organized by the UAlg's International Relations and Mobility Office, on Friday, at 14:30 pm.
In addition to a presentation of the structure responsible for hosting foreign students, who arrive under the Erasmus program or attend masters and doctoral courses, among others, the session includes the lecture "The origin of the Portuguese language", by Jorge Baptista , professor at the University of Algarve. At the end, there will also be a visit to the historic center and the Museum of Faro.
The session will be attended by Gabriela Schütz, dean of the University of Algarve, and Paulo Santos, vice president of the Municipality of Faro, and representatives of the Academic Association.
