The Ministry of Education revealed that Parque Escolar estimates that the requalification work of the João de Deus Secondary School, in Faro, should be completed in December.
In response to a question asked by the PSD deputies elected by the Algarve, Elsa Cordeiro, Mendes Bota, Pedro Roque and Cristóvão Norte, says that the public company has this expectation, but makes the completion of the work depend «on the financial capacity of the executing entity to maintain work within the prescribed period'.
«Having the contract resumed its course, Parque Escolar, EPE, has held periodic meetings with the administrations of the executing entity (ACE) in order to ensure a more present monitoring and control of the subcontracts, providing that the full reception of the contract is completed by the end of 2014. Parque Escolar, EPE, has kept the municipal executive up to date with the development of the work whenever it was requested for that purpose”, reads the response given by the ministry to the Social Democratic deputies.
