On Wednesday, the Teia d'Impulsos Association delivered more than 9000 euros in donations resulting from Rota do Petisco 2013 to three social projects of as many IPSS in Portimão, Alvor and Ferragudo.

The donations, which resulted from the euro donated by each participant in the Rota do Petisco, were delivered, in a ceremony on the night of the 18th, in the Small Auditorium of TEMPO, to the Social Refectory of the Social and Cultural Center of Nossa Senhora do Amparo in Portimão, to Bom Samaritano Children's Home in Alvor and the Support Center for the Elderly in Ferragudo. Each of these institutions received 3031 euros.

In each case, the funds raised will be invested in a specific project. Thus, the Support Center for the Elderly of Ferragudo will use the funds to repair a terrace and paintings, the Social Center of Nossa Senhora do Amparo will build a separate entrance for the users of its social cafeteria and put up an awning to protect them. , while Lar Bom Samaritano will pay the expenses of the participation of its boys and girls in Vela Solidária, in 2014 and 2015.

The Support Center for the Elderly of Ferragudo has the functions of a Day Centre, Home Support and Day Care, and is also building a Home, which will cost two million euros and should be completed in May or June.

The Social and Cultural Center of Nossa Senhora do Amparo, founded by the late Father Arsénio, serves 70 to 80 meals a day in its Social Refectory to the homeless and needy in the city of Portimão.

As for the Bom Samaritano Children's Home, at the moment, it welcomes nearly three dozen children in a situation of social exclusion or removed from their families for various reasons, boys and girls, from 4 to 17 years old.
