The mayor of Lagoa today announced his second “open presidency”, this time to the União de Freguesias Estômbar-Parchal, on December 18th (Wednesday).

According to Francisco Martins, the objective is “to make contact with the reality of a new geographical-administrative area, contact local mayors and populations, listening to their suggestions”. The president will be accompanied by his councilors and technicians from the Chamber.

The visit program is as follows:

9:30 am – Start of visit at Estômbar Municipal Market
Situations to check:
– Implementation of roundabout or pavement marking;
– Signage (Site of Sources)
– Bairro Boa Esperança – placing ecological islands
– Tasquinhas – Floor space, requalification of the ravine
– Adjacent land – Community gardens

10:15 am – Rua Estrada das Fontes – Café Primavera – Rainwater
– Ibne Ammar Cooperative Headquarters
– EB1 Estômbar School - Completion of the work
– Cemetery – Tree felling

– 10:45 am – Largo do Poço – basic sanitation, requalification of the garden, implementation of a roundabout or redefinition of pavement markings. Placement of ecological islands
– Vale Talegas Urbanization – Rainwater, reduced visibility along the tunnel
– Vale Cavalos Road – pavement requalification

– 11:15 am – Calvary
– Requalification of the party space (including construction of WC), rainwater, demolition of the container shelter, painting of the road from the roundabout in Calvário to the roundabout in Mexilhoeira or placement of humps

– 12:30 pm-14:00 pm – Lunch

– 14:15 pm – Attendance to the public (at the Parish Council)
